Glastonbury Festival 2019

Jul 16, 2019

We are back after a year off. And we have a better team than ever and as always, brilliant performers.

Thanks to Avolites for providing us an Arena for the gig, and to Chauvet for the lights. We got to use Maverick Mk II washes and profiles and they proved to be perfect for the job.

The rig is evolving as it goes, and I think this year is the perfect configuration.

New Cirque Bijou show

May 16, 2019

Starting life as an outdoor show, Extraordinary Bodies What Am I Worth? is beginning to take shape as a touring show.

I was asked to come and light the set at Invisible Circus in Bristol so we could make a video to promote it.

The set consists of a massive steel wheel that revolves on bearings mounted on short vertical trusses. Performers work beneath it and on it.

We plan to tour it in UK venues in 2020

In December 2018 the Pirates returned to the Brighton Dome for their Christmas show. This was the new show entitled HOME and was a reworking of the previous shoes called R.U.H.M that we had previously presented at he Pontio Theatre in Wales and the Roundhouse in London.

We were invited to the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre in Chicago in October 2018. It was a real pleasure to work there, the staff and facilities were excellent.

We were in residence from October 20th until November 5th and every day was a real treat. Chicago is a brilliant city and we had a bit of time to explore.

All the artists were in great shape and spirits and the shows very well received.

Pirates of the Carabina at London Roundhouse

Apr 16, 2018

It was a real thrill to put on a show here. Having been as a punter a couple of times, including back when it was a real scrotty grungy dive - it was excellent to work in the amazing refurbished space. All the staff were lovely and the lighting rig full of goodness.
